OK, so no Meat Loaf for us. Looks like he never wanted to have a support band in the first place, and was just hedging round the issue in order to avoid visa issues. Oh well, easy come - easy go.
We spent last weekend in the studio with producer Tim Powles - it was awesome. We are very happy with the results, which we head to Sydney to mix next week. Now we just have to come up with some money to finish the album.
On a related issue, I am broke.

I'm not really selling any serious stuff, just a couple of old samplers. In fact I'm kind of thinking about keeping one of them, even though I know I'll never use it.
How good are good producers that know what you want? I'm still quite new to the recording thing but the thing we did for sbs had this cool producer danny. We kind of just spent the whole time hanging out.
Are you able to raise finance against future album sales to get you by, with the proper due diligence in place I may be able to help you out there, let me know. I may be able to help with mezzanine funding or bridging finance or even put you in touch with other investors. I am with an investment group that primarily deals with property but we also look at unorthodox investments as a way of hedging and diversifying our portfolios. To help your band out we may be prepared to limit profit as long as I could find a way to hedge against capital loss. Music as you would know is considered a high-risk investment but that doesnt mean its impossible or not viable.
Anyway good luck with it all and I hope you find your success.
