Well the Meat Loaf thing is possibly becoming a bit of a nightmare. After telling the booking agent to book and confirm supports, the Loaf's management has decided that they need personal approval of all support acts. Not so bad, I suppose, but then the booking agent rang today to see if we know anyone who hires out PAs. It seems that in every other country, Meat Loaf has a stand up comedian as his support (!?!?!), but Australian visa approval requires him to put on a support BAND. He reckons that his band uses all of the channels on the mixing desk, so there is no room for a support band through the PA, so they will have to supply there own. Looks like he just doesn't want a support and is trying to make it difficult. To their credit, the booking agency is really sticking to their guns for us. We aren't even getting paid that much. Meanwhile, we have whiny little losers from other bands saying "how come they get all the good slots" and "they get everything handed to them"... If only they knew.
Good luck with it mate and fuck the whiny little losers.
