Meep. I'm taking a trip to NY in October, and I wanna stay somewhere close to Manhattan. Does anyone have any suggestions on hotels or in what area I can stay for relatively cheap? Any help would be much appreciated!

Ok, this sucks. I had to take my eyebrow ring out cuz my eyebrow got all poofy and hurty. Is there a reason for that happening? I kept it clean, and had already had it for a year. Ah, thanks for the info. It isn't hurting anymore, and I kept the wound clean, so it looks like it's healing up ok. Kind of annoying that the hole had to close up, but at least it doesn't look infected.

Lumos was crazy awesome, and I would totally go again. I didn't dress up as anyone in particular, but I did go in my Slytherin best! 
A crapload of people went, and i met some awesome girls who are now totally friended on livejournal. A lot of slash artists were there, like Sherant and Glockgal, and omg so much free stuff. I loved it more than I can describe here.
P.S. Lumos is a Harry Potter convention, with loads of superneat meetings based on what pairings you like, and really cool lectures on how HP fits into daily life.

You're probably right, Martrell. Although that's a pretty crappy reaction to someone walking in on you washing your hands, I can understand where she's coming from. I might have been a bit too harsh when calling her a "fat cow washing her hooves"

OMG. I finally got back from lumos 06. It was fantastically awesome! SO many cosplayers, so much slash I could hardly sit, and overall THE best time I've ever had in Vegas.

Ha. I had fun homework today. For my motion graphics class, we had to take a bunch of pictures and animate them using After Effects. I made my cat get chased by a little blue alien. Now that's the kind of homework I don't mind doing. Anyone have any ideas on what I should animate next?
