February?! I haven't blogged here since February! This is ridiculous. Sooo much has happened, and I only came here to get some tips on some places to visit in NYC. I think I need to impose a new goal in my life, where I make an effort write here at least once a week. I don't really vent anywhere like I used to, and this is probably as best a place as any to do it.
Anyhoo, one thing I got up to in the last 7 or so months was a short trip to New York. To say I loved it is a complete understatement. As far as I'm concerned, I live in one of the best, if not the best, cities in the world. But I've been in London for quite a few years now, grew up around it, and it's really starting to feel like it might be time to move on.
The only other place in the UK that I could see myself living is Brighton, and in the last few months this seems like it might become a reality - if my mate pulls his finger out and chooses to commit. But since getting back from NYC, it's been playing over almost daily, that I REALLY want to spend some time working and living out there. I don't think I could live in NYC for the rest of my life, but it's definitely somewhere I could spend a few years, and ideally I want to do it before I turn 30!
So I'm heading back to NYC in February (yes, I know it's going to be cold), and I need some new places to check out. The less touristy, the better. I covered a lot of ground in the week that I was there in May, and although there will be a few places I'll be heading back to, I could do with some new things to do. Bars, Mexican food, ghosts, comics, Punk Rock, burlesque, cheesecake - these are just a few things that I love! So anything to do with that would be much appreciated.
Oh, and if anyone knows of any design studios in NYC, that might want a creative Limey in their ranks, PLEASE let me know. ;P
Will be sure to check back in soon!
