I saw this movie The Corporation the other day, and I was very much blown away. I guess I'm a left-leaning bleeding heart with a guilty conscience, but the documentary was built around a pretty poignant (and waterproof) narrative about the role of corporations in the world economy, and it touched on environmental problems related to pollution and human rights in the US and across the world. Even if you're a right-leaning conservative scoundrel, you may want to spend some time with this documentary. We all have a responsibility to ourselves, our neighbors and futire generations to make this a better place to live. Whether we choose to ignore fact that and barrel through life at high speed with no regard for fellow humans and the rest of the life on this planet is a whole different issue.
On second thought, the movie is over 2 hours long, and maybe you don't have that kind of time on your hands. In the time you save by not watching this documentary, which is probably packed full of lies and misinformation anyways, go ahead and treat yourself; buy something nice at your local Wal-Mart Supercenter.
