I've been in bands long enough that playing alone has gotten a bit uncomfortable. But it does present an opportunity to stretch myself, and there's something undeniably awesome about having an audience react purely based on my own performance. You lose the camaraderie of creating a performance with others, and I don't find it nearly as fun for that reason. Still, like I said, it was a nice change of pace.

My Instagram photos used to post to SG until one day, they just stopped. Here's some of the stuff that's happened in the past year.

The little tuxedo cat is Choco. It's rare for Choco to be conscious, so I *do* make an effort to capture those moments on film. The fuzzy monster is Twee; he's gigantic, half-Maine Coon, and all awesome. The orange affection whore is Mattie, who's the apple of my eye.

Some other notes on this album: the fourth shot is on the Burlington Skyway on the way back from the US, via Fort Erie. The day was clear enough that Toronto was visible up the lake shore and I thought that was pretty cool. The concert shot is Faith No More, a personal favourite, in Toronto last fall. There's a shot of Mt. Adams from the plane as I flew back from Portland, Oregon last October. I'm an avid podcaster, musician and baseball fan, all interests that are represented here. And the "four piece fork set" sort of explains itself, but "dollar store" explains the rest.
