Had to check to make sure I had the day correct. Poor sleep last night left me sleeping late and not feeling great this morning. Yes, I'm still working on a model. I had to take a break from painting since I ran out of the color and I had to order it. Instead I've started assembling parts of it, which is requiring lots of gluing, clamping the pieces together, then waiting for it to bond before doing the next piece. Definitely a slow building model, but that's okay. It's not supposed to be quick.
They are talking about doing some sort of opening of restaurants starting tomorrow, but the governor cannot say until then what it will look like. I spoke with a few managers and they are dreading this because they know people will be horrible about it. Not all people, but enough to make it bad. Not that we're going to go out right away and test the waters. We'll stay home for a while and see if a new wave of infections crop up. People in the US are being so stupid about this. Demanding to open the country up be cause it's curtailing their freedoms and undemocratic and unconstitutional. Walking around spitting in each other's faces to prove this is all a hoax and carrying guns (??!!) like this will really help anything, but some Americans can't seem to resist the urge to carry big guns in public to prove what total badasses they are. If they want to carry guns in public that much, they should join the military! Dumb asses. **sigh** Sorry. I'm just really tired of the stupidity of this nation, when just 4 years ago we had an intelligent President and a country that was well respected, but now we are a joke, and some would (rightfully) see us as a danger to the world. What a mess. And I don't think this upcoming election will solve the problems, because we will at best have a weak president, and at worse have 4 more years of total corruption.
Gah! Sorry again. More ranting. During the day I make and drink iced tea. Phryne has developed a definite taste for it, since it is slightly sweetened. She is so excited when I make my first glass because she knows she gets to drink some of it. She thinks she should get way more than she does get, but then, she's apparently a nut for sweet things. I guess it proves that she's my baby after all.
