Hello all. I'm back. I've been in the hospital for about a week. It was a mystery for a while, so I was just diagnosed with Sepsis since they were not exactly sure the cause. Turns out the mystery cause of my sepsis is a regular old sinus infection that went crazy and my shattered immune system said "eh, we gave it a good try mates" and decided to head for the beach. It then took all of my liquids with it since it took 7 liters IV fluids to just start to get my pulse down near 100 and my BP up to a non-life-threatening place. My platelets were basically rattling around in dust. Another 5 or so liters of fluids were pumped in to get me stable. Plus 3 different massive antibiotics were pumped into me by IV at regular intervals over 4 days to combat the infection.
I'm doing much better now, but not great. Still on massive antibiotics and am exhausted by the least little activity. Even getting my breakfast together makes me weak and sweaty. At least I'm home and no longer feel nauseated. And everything does not taste like sulfur. I don't know how they do it, but hospital food is horrible. Of course, I was not in the best way to appreciate food, so it didn't really matter. And I barely slept any while there.
Anyway, slowly getting better, focusing on rest and hydration.
Lots of love to you all.
