So far two days of great interactions with Phryne! Since we trimmed her flight feathers she has been a bit less aggressive and calmed down. We are now starting from the beginning with the UP command and working on gentle interactions. While she has nipped me upon occasion, it has not been with the intent to draw blood, rather to let me know of her preferences (don't touch me, touch me, snuggle but no scratch, I'm bored, etc), so this has been a huge improvement. It's also letting me become more comfortable with handling her again, not always waiting for the next wound, so I'm starting to learn her displays more, and when to leave her alone and when to push her.
Hope this hasn't jinxed it, but much happier all around here.
Yesterday the first step was taken to get our new gas fireplace installed. The framing guys came and made quick work of properly sizing the opening. Today the gas guys run the new gas line and put in the new pipe stack up the chimney. Hope to get this thing installed and finished before Christmas! That would be nice.
Love and hugs to all you fabulous people. **mwah**
