Um yeah. So after all my high & mighty preaching about stupid things people do and say, low and behold- I bridged that gap last night. In the spirit of trying to get mulitple things accomplished with very little time, I was sorta half-assing everything, including this conversation I had with the sweetest little old lady you'd ever laid eyes on. So here I was in the chip aisle at Trader Joes, mentally arguing with myself about needing chips & salsa vs wanting them. When Cute Old Lady started telling me about her favorite chips. Now, when it comes to animals, kids and old folks- I'm a big, big softie. Plus, I get excited when old people talk to me- cause for the most part, when you have tattoos, they tend to avoid you and hug there purse closer to them.... so anyway- here I was, listening to her go on about this particular brand of chips, till she successfully convinced me that I, in fact... did NEED these chips. So thinking the conversations finished, and now mentally moving on to something else, Cute Old Lady takes a step in front of me, effectilvy blocking my way past her and continues conversation.. about the chips. Remember the chips? She'd already done a bang up job of selling me on these little crunchy organic goodness.. .so why? Why was she pulling the grocery store body block? I was confused!? And now a little intimidated by her... and mildly curious... who was this little lady, so open minded and wanting to chat!? Well, sad to say this new found friendship came to a screeching halt when she offered me tips on what to do with the leftover chips that are all crunched up in the bottom of the bag....
Cute Old Lady: You know, when the chips get crunched up in the bottom of the bag.. I like to put them in soup
Que My Retarded Response: OH!! LIke Tortilla Chips?
Cute Old Lady: *eyes suddenly wide* (slowly inching away from me) Right. Like Tortilla Chips.
AND WHOOSH... Cute Old Lady vanished from my world. A little more weary of striking up conversations with tattood strangers. What kills me- is that I just got tongue tied, I was confused by the Cute Old Lady Body Block manuever... and the fact that I really am not a big soup fan... well, sometimes.. but I've really got to WANT it. Anyway.... I meant to say "oh yeah, like the Tortillia STRIPS they put in a spanish style soups?" argh... hahahah... I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on her face... it was a mixture of "oh poor daft child" and "must exit conversation NOW" hahah... well that's my tale. Also, latte update... bad boy #4. Craccka laccka...
