Hey there. I'm leaving tomorrow to move to a new city where I don't know anyone. I've only responded to one page of my journal because I'm saving myself something to do when I arrive.

I hope I didn't offend you.

This is one of the few "down times" that I've had in my life where I haven't written a prolific amount. Over the course of the past year, I believe that I have gotten so very accostumed to aural/verbal communication with Capital that writing isn't as natural at this time.

I have also been very nervous, which hinders my creative abilities. I start a new job on Monday, in a new state, and I am struggling with that idea.

Your advice, though, let me tell you, sounded so wonderful. It reminds me of the difference I've articulated between hearing and listening to music. I almost always listen to music - pick it apart, dissect it, analyze its every word. Others, I notice, hear music. They let is wash over them in an aura of calm. I suppose my tendencies are poetic rather than musical. Maybe I need to take this time to hear the world, instead of trying so hard to listen.

You know, I am so very glad that we have electronically met. I think my favorite part of the post was the introductory anecdote...it definitely set the stage for my processing of the rest of the text. It would be great if that was included somehow in the project, too. Wow, what a fantastic, multifaceted project. That is truly awesome. You will most definitely have to keep me updated on its progress.
