Lots going on.
Yes, we have now incorporated our business. That's cool.
I am also half-heartedly looking for a different day job. It would be nice, but it's not critical. I applied for a position with the IRS. I can't quite figure out why I'm so excited about it... Probably because I was just a bit underqualified for the Secret Service job...
I met with the Reproductive Endocrinologist (surgeon) today. He's still as wonderful as he was when he did my first surgery in Dec 2003. But, like my wonderful ob/gyn, he still can't change reality. Since the fibroids are so amazingly large (I really am an overachiever), he wants to do 3 months of hormone therapy first. The hormones will induce an artificial menopause state (gosh, doesn't that sound like fun!). Then, after 3 months of that, we'll repeat the surgery. Hopefully, with the same success. You see, my first surgery was incredibly successful. He removed three tumors, 8-10cm diameter at the largest, 5cm or so at the smallest. All three were external to the uterus and the recovery was speedy. All of this is what made Sophie possible. So, then I had a c-section because of course these fuckers grow like weeds during pregnancy and they blocked her way out. So now, they haven't shrunk back after pregnancy. In fact, they're growing dangerously fast. And now they're inside the uterus instead of outside. Though I'm utterly against it, I have to acknowledge the reality that a hysterectomy is a possibility. Not by choice, but with that much tissue to remove, the uterus may be damaged beyond repair. My surgeon is one of the best this side of the Mississippi, but it's still scary. So, prob start the hormones in April and surgery in July. What fun...
Got the first round of dental ($450) taken care of. Another check deposited today to cover the 2nd round ($450) next week. Got $700 on the way from freelance that will cover a little over half of the remaining fillings. Why didn't I floss?!?!?!
In better news (oh, so much better news!) Trevor and OBrien are supposed to be home TOMORROW!!!!!
