Have the best intentions of at least making it by Amy and sKoTt's bday event tonight. So, not only will I hopefully have everyone's cds etc., you'll get to see my hair! Maybe I should wash it... Hmmph.
On other fronts, not the greatest news. I finally made it back to the dentist... Yeeha. I had cancelled an appt to have a filling or two (can't even remember now) replaced when I was first pregnant, because there are so many physical changes when you're prego it's not really worth getting dental work done unless it's critical. Right. Well, I think you're supposed to go back a little sooner than 2 yrs later... I am looking at about $800 worth of deep cleaning, scaling, and planing mixed with antibiotics inserted under the gum level to hopefully keep me out of the specialist's office. Then, I have about another $1100 of fillings. Replace pretty much all the ones I have and do a couple of new, again in the hope of no root canals or crowns, etc. Sigh. Do I have the money? No. Will I? Remarkably, yes. The freelance work is really taking off. Was this what I was hoping to spend my freelance money on, Trevor? No. Ink will have to wait just a bit.
On other physical fronts, even more not great news. Yes, I still have fibroids. I knew that. All you have to do is look at me to know that. Yes, that makes me miserable, but it is not enough on its own to get me to take action. The fact that they have lowered my blood pressure to something like 90/45 and I now get these intense headaches that make the world go away so I can only see green and feel pukey if I do anything as silly as, oh, laughing too hard, sneezing, coughing, standing up quickly, or, heaven forbid, taking a shit. The coughing and standing up are manageable. Sneezing, well, I do that a lot, but the headaches are only debilitating for 20-30 seconds, then they just hurt. The poop thing... well, that just sucks. And there's no way I can, or would want to, not laugh!!! Hell, with the SophieMonster it just ain't an option. She's too silly. So, I met with a new doc this week, who of course can't change reality, but is otherwise wonderful. Back to the big ultrasound and then another meeting with the reproductive endocrinologist who did my first surgery in Dec 03 to see what he recommends. Odds are good, I'm looking at another surgery. Which is only mildly terrifying. The first one went REALLY well and the healing was great and all that. Of course, I didn't have a hubby and a toddler then, either. So, more support (yea!), but a kiddo who can't possibly understand why mommy doesn't pick her up for a month or so... Yep, there's a lifting restriction for a while after abdominal surgery. So, a lot to process and figure. But it's just kind of saddening. In a bigger sense, I'm relieved that my physical issues are, well, mechanical, really, and fixable. But still, I would like to be normal. Biologically, anyway, as I told Kursed.
That's what's going on in my life right now. I won't even begin to tell you how fucked up work is.
But know that I love you all.
Especially you.

And I know I know. Trust me I know. I wish I was out there already. There have been so many damn roadblocks. But I am scheduled to move out on Nov 15. Finally!
