OK....who here loves fried cabbage?
Hands up!
Anyone?.....Anyone?.....besides me that is?
Bueller?....Bueller?....Bueller?
No?
Well, you're missing out my friends....fried cabbage, along with a nice kielbasa or brat is just great! Just finished off a big old batch of fried cabbage and kielbasa for lunch today. If you have the least bit of interest in trying it, let me know and I'll give you the details.....it is SO easy to make. Oh and just so you know, you should probably plan ahead before eating fried cabbage. If you're anything like me, it will give you wicked gas in about 8 hours.....so there's your warning.
Doing laundry and household stuff today. It's another miserable day outside, so inside is OK for me today. The bike is all done....everything I had planned for it is done and on the bike. I'm going to need some new tires soon, but I'll wait awhile towards closer to spring before springing for the new treads. Other than that, it is done, ready and waiting to go. I'm hoping for some nice days soon, when I can get it out somewhere and get some new pics of it taken. I've decided that Jan. is not a good month to be working on your bike. It just makes you wish that riding weather was here, even more.....next time, I wait until March to start in on it.
Watched the Barret-Jackson collectors auto auction Fri., Sat., and Sunday. Man, I love seeing those muscle cars all restored, shiny and new! They were selling way out of my price league....but it was still fun to watch. Wish I had kept my 1970 Mustang Mach 1. It would be worth around $80,000 in restored condition right now. Damn my shortsidedness!!!
I'm going to go to Des Moines on Wed., to see about trading my pickup. Probably for another new pickup, but I might just look into a Mustang GT. There's really no guarantee that I'll be doing any trading, but I'm hearing that new trucks are not selling well right now and low mileage, late model trucks are bringing a premium, so I'm going to at least talk to them and look into the possiblity of trading. We'll see!
That's about all the news from here at the ranch today....
Adios!

I love fried cabbage! My friend (of Polish extraction) would make it with bacon and sour cream. Sooooo good.

Thanks for the empathy and the advice. You're right-- it has been huge to know that she got a peaceful death, and exactly the death she'd told me she wanted for herself.
