now the sun is setting. it is twilight. the outside light in each moment is darker than the moment before. i can feel the parts inside my eyeball doing what they do: expanding, like a camera aperture.
with each new quantum of darkness, i feel more compelled to stand up and flip the wall switch. but for now i will wait for night to fall, and sit here, typing, considering the approaching darkness. the day begins now.
