"love rhymes with hideous car wreck..."
The other night I accidentally found myself out on a date with two of my friends. It all started out wholly innocently, but obviously the call of the passion was too strong and I was left to dance my little Scottish heart out on my own (can you feel the pathos?) According to eye-witness reports, my dancing was "very special", and at the moment I'm choosing to understand that as a good thing. The cringing will surely start sometime soon.
And my friends, for the record, make a very cute couple and I'm dreadfully happy and jealous for them both.
I'm off to Germany tomorrow, my belated summer holiday... I can't afford it, but I need it, I've been dreaming about it. I'm slightly terrified by flying (even thought I love the idea) but I have a strange affection for airport departure lounges, all those people coming and going and passing by, taking off and landing and maybe arriving somewhere. So even the interminable wait for connecting flights will be worth it... and then the thought of the loveliest beer in the world, the snow and the whole cheesy-but-heartfelt christmas spirit. I'm a sucker for it, and it'll be heavenly.
see you soon

have fun in germany! i'm sure it will be terribly cold and you'll meet some wonderful girl who will sweep you off your feet.
i'll send you some things as well, i have no idea how long mail takes to cross the atlantic.
i feel the exact same way about flying. i love the airport, drinking coffee and buying chewing gum and being somewhere so completely different in just a few hours. it's the loveliest thing ever.
take good care, and stay warm,
xoxo
