I'm off to LA tomorrow for a week, then traveling around for a week before returning to London (where's its currently hailing!)

I'm having a birthday party for myself for my 40th on Friday the 28th March in LA at Frida restaurant 7-11 in BH. (south of Wilshire north of Olympic. Mexican food, valet parking and a bunch of us (I'm taking over the restaurant)...

i haven't been to the BBC site in a few months! so are you the design lead for that site? i'd check it now, but:

"Due to technical problems, we are displaying a simplified version of the BBC homepage"

we just launched our new website: www.ualberta.ca

...and have been getting lots of hate mail. it's generally the angry ones that feel compelled to write. some of their points are valid, though.

Ok I've just been TOO busy... also I was travelling in the US for 1/2 of January..

Not too much to update on, I acquired a stalker.. yes that's right, a stripper/penthouse pet (though I haven't checked). Met her at a strip club with my best friend and then we left. She grabbed a business card from my pocket and started emailing me.. and continues....

Hello.. happy holidays and new year and stuff.

I've been wrapped up in familia, work, illness and exhaustion. Also, I got a PS3 and have been a little consumed more than usual with Assassin's Creed. Beautiful game, though it's getting a little old now.

It's raining here, rather than snowing. which is annoying. I'm blue with the usual holiday funk. I went to see...

I'm thinking that making any sort of 'plans' for the new year is just so pointless, life will just kick me in the ass any way.

hope to see paris one day don't care about vegas much though

enjoy!
fixer:
the best I can do is maybe one night in Vegas for CES. One of my guys has to be there all week for Monster Music, so I'll be short-handed here at the studio.

Do grab me when you're in LA, even if just time for a coffee. Miss ya Brother!

I'm super tired, the holidays wear on me. I went to a company Christmas party and escaped before any untoward behavior began, though it was essentially starting.

Funny that tradition, the Holiday company party - shagging, drinking, inappropriate conversations.

who thought up that shit?

There's a great interview in Rolling Stone with one of my favourite authors of all time, William Gibson (Neuromancer, coiner of the term Cyberspace and his newest Spook Country (which I'm reading now). Here's a quote:

"Ubiquitous computing?

Totally ubiquitous computing. One of the things our grandchildren will find quaintest about us is that we distinguish the digital from the real, the virtual from the...

hello all.

So a quick update. Yes, my father's house is ok, for now. For those of you just tuning in - my father lives literally across the street from the Rice Canyon fire's origination point. he was evacuated, and he and his wife and their dog are in a hotel in the OC safe and sound. we think their house is ok as the...

ok so it's been WAY too long since my last blog. I've been literally buried for weeks now.

A few notes:

- we're on our 2nd film in the slate now, titled Riddle of the Sphinx.
- I'll be in the US the week of the 17-22. San Francisco & LA. let me know if you'll be around (I'm in SF to speak at web...

so I'm off to SF, LA , Vancouver and then NY, before a return to London in a week. So this week I had so many meetings about so many varying opportunities, I started to do a SWOT analysis today just to assess who to email back 1st. Wow.

Seriously though, I had dinner last night with one of my two leading contenders.. Frankly he...

ok I LOVE Italy, where I just spent 6 days in San Felice Circeo (which is the mythical site of Odysseus' encounter with Circes). BTW if you haven't been there it's amazing. The food is to die for; chicken, fish, buffalo mozzarella, pasta. We had a lovely woman named Maria who came with the house - MAN she could cook. It was truly fabulous. The...

man, I can't wait to get back to Italy. Some day. Ooh, exciting. I really liked this harry potter movie. A lot. I know a lot of people disappointed with it, but it's impossible to put that much stuff from such a long book into a little movie. I thought it was too short, some of the camera works was lame, but I really really enjoyed it. Luna was the best part. She rocked. Enjoy your viewing, sir.

Hey, how is that one project going that you were way stressed about? Same one?
