I went and saw the Matthew Barney show at the Guggenheim. It was the "pay as you will" day and I paid $1 to see it. Which is more that it's worth. I love art. But Matthew Barney's Cremaster Cycle is exactly what I thought it would be. Just a pile of self-indulgent crap.

We need more Jeff Koons. And Cindy Sherman. And pop artists who do things that anyone can relate to.

Mathew Barney is a joke and not in the way he thinks. And the Guggenheim is desperate to be "hip". So that's why the show even existed. 100% pathetic.
