well, New Orleans still needs a lot of attention. it was good to return there and see some homes we gutted last year fixed and occupied this year. i worked and lived in the central neighborhood in Jefferson Parish this trip. i came across this house very near where we were working. i can only say that i admire the optimism of the owner. there are actually footings poured behind the front of the house.




i have to admit that it is a nice porch.

this is typical of the block where the last picture was taken. the Super Dome is in the background. those who did not hide were mostly evacuated from the top of a school nearby. downtown is behind the Dome.
