so, the Republican National Convention is coming to town in the not too distant future. the FBI and Secret Service have been here scoping things out and working with the local police departments and working out who is in charge of what and how big of a neutral zone they will have around the convention center. it was sad to hear how they plan to "handle" the protesters, it will be almost as bad as the last convention where they were kept in a virtual cage behind chain link fences. wtf

on a happier note, it will mean that driving around the metro area for the week this goes on will be next to impossible. oh and the Republican party or whatever says that it will not cost the local law enforcement officials anything to provode protection, that it will all be covered. right. i can hardly wait to read the headlines after it is all over stating that the cities in the metro area lost $$$ providing protection.

well, it will be good for the bars and escort services, plus all the delightful illuminaries gadding about. gaaack.
