Yes, my driver's license is just for automatic shift car, and I never learned how to drive a stick shift car. Here in Japan, it usually takes about 3 months generally to get a drivers license, and some people take much longer if they are not good enough during learning at a school. I didn't want to waste time or money then, I went to drivers school with an intensive course, and I stayed at a hotel near the school while I was going. I knew I didn't have to drive a stick shift car, and I wanted to complete everything quickly. That's why my drivers license is just for an automatic shift car.
