Great Canadian Movie = The Cube

Horrible Canadian Cliche = Maple Syrup, we all buy the fake sugary kind anyway.

Believe it or not, there's actually quite the cult following around The Cube in the states. I'm fairly certain many US skiffy fans discovered the film because Nicole de Boer went on to star in DS9. I found out about it because I have a lot of strange friends.

Of course, I think good genre films eventually leak out. Look out how Ginger Snaps got a lot of attention.

btw, it's typically better to respond to comments in the commentor's journal instead of your own. It makes it easier for the commentor to see what you wrote and respond back.

For me it's Ginger Snaps and mounties, respectively.

I just looked on the imdb and they've apparently shot a sequel (or prequel?) to Ginger Snaps. Weird. I would never have expected that.

I'm watching Waking Life again... it's a beautiful film.

I just saw some local musicians play a supurb show. Dallas Green (from Alexisonfire) played his usual amazing set.

I'm having a debate with an almost-stranger about reality. It's always the complete strangers, that spark the most interesting ideas in me.
