Best Birthday ever. I have four different groups of friends that I have made in the past year that I have been back to Colorado. Last night I went out to dinner with the closest people from each group. All in all, it was very low key. It was a perfect setting for me and 12 of my closest friends.
Family:
My big sister gypsidancer and her new beau, Patrick. This is one of the most important women in my life. She is one of my best friends and I know I never have to worry about not counting on her.
Work:
Scott and Dave McBreen: These are two brothers who work in different departments. They are not only a testament to good upbringing, but also functional alcoholism. The McBreen brothers can drink you and all of you friends under the table and still be in bed with their girlfriends by 8:30 on a weekday. The gifts we exchanged this season were whiskey and rum.
Randi: Beautiful, Japanese, smart, clever, beautiful, funny, well spoken, beautiful, fun to be around, beautiful, beautiful. Yea, this girl drives me nuts.
Home:
My neighbors Eric Mark and their friend from ATL, Becca. As soon as I moved in to my place, I hung out with these dudes like we've known each other for years. Always around, and always trying to have a good time. If it weren't for these guys, I wouldn't be having half as much fun as I have been.
SG:
prcnct13: One of the key SGColorado people. You can't fuck with this dude when it comed to Rock and Roll. This is the only person I know who's MP3 collection is anywhere near mine (in terms of genre, underground status and size).
DanielK and Angeluca: These two are always down for a good time. Intelligent conversation, and tons of laughs. The more I hang out with Dan and Ang, the more I like them.
Hugodwarf: I believe the first SGColorado person to invite me out. This dude is number one. He helped me move, let me know about events and activities that I may not have discovered on my own, and is the first person I call while I'm lost trying to find an event.
We went to Landry's for all you can eat crab legs. Unfortunately all you can eat is only Tuesday and Thursday, so I got the crawfish etouffee instead. It was awesome. Afterward The neighbors, prcnct13 and I went to grenades to shoot pool.
I left my camera in the car during dinner, so all of this could be a lie...I guess you'll never know.
This Saturday should prove slovenly. If you want to come, come. You're totally invited. We'll be at Cafe Netherworld on 13th and Pensylvania in Downtown Denver.
