Hey @rambo and @missy here's my homework <3
You know that #nolittlegirl campaign? Well I call bull shit. I was literally JUST talking to a friend of mine about it today. Heres the conversation...
Her: *posts a thing about how Penny Lane in Almost Famous was her childhood hero*
Me: I actually wanted to be a groupie when I grew up! I thought it was a real job
Her: Have you seen the #nolittlegirlcampaign?
Me: oh yeah!! I have.
Me: Im liiiiiike I wanted to be a groupie/girl's gone wild/tv spring break girl
Me: My idols were literally girls gone wild girls that I'd see on late night tv commercials
Her: haha same. It's so ridiculous though.
I WANTED to be naked on the internet/tv. I WANTED to display my sexuality. I WANTED to travel and have sex to pay the bills.
And now I do webcam and porn and model and most importantly SUICIDE GIRLS. This is what I wanted. #thislittlegirl wanted EXACTLY this life. I may have not understood it fully as a little girl (because I was raised in a nice suburban home and didn't understand that porn even existed) but I knew there was something about what I did see that I wanted. It was a totally innocent desire, but at the same time, I DID want it.
Let me for one second express my gratitude to all the fans and friends and photographers who believed in me. I am beyond excited that I finally committed full time to a life of beauty and indulgence. So yes. I may not have fully understood the details of what I wanted at such young age, but my idols were adult models.
Im not sure if I was suppose to get political and fight a stupid hashtag but theres my homework. I hope you enjoyed it <3
