Had an awesome Friday night. Two friends and I camped on Dolly Beach (here is a photo. we camped just to the left, just out of shot.)...
We set up a huge campfire, had a feed and a few bongs and then one of my friends (a German bloke working on the island at the environmental research station) pulls out a small vial containing liquid LSD that he smuggled over from Germany. It was a full moon and there was an electrical storm on the horizon. Perfect conditions for a little psychadelic fun.
The night was absolutely faultless except for the other friend who had only ever had average blotter before and spent at least a good half hour literally running around screaming. Irritating but also highly amusing. Don't know how he ended up passing out before morning, the rest of us were still going the next day. Got some funny photo's but haven't downloaded them yet.
Next morning we caught a native crab and roasted it in the ashes of the fire for breakfast and fed the scraps to the eels in the rockpools. All in all it was a magical night you could never recreate anywhere else in the world. I promise to post the photo's of the night next entry.
In unrelated news, I've decided that during my trip to Europe, which is rapidly approaching, I'm taking a detour on the 27th of March to attend thesoulclipse party in Turkey. This 7 day event celebrates the total solar eclipse and is taking place on the banks of a river in a national park near Antalya called Paradise Canyon. Check out the website. Should be wild. Can't fucken wait.
