Hey there everybody and thanks for dropping in. Not much has been going on here on Christmas Island and there's nothing to talk about so I'll just post a few photo's. While this may be one of the most boring places in Australia, I'll be controversial (for a change), and say it is one of the most beautiful. I know, that's a big call and many people would probably want to dispute this fact so I'll just let you all check out a few photo's and make up your own minds...
(^^) This is flying Fish Cove. It is the main drag on CI and where most people here live and swim, although it is by no means the best beach on the island. This photo was taken from the lookout which was used to spot Japanese warships during WW2. There are also a few wrecks just out from the cove if anyone is interested in scuba...
(^^) This is the cove from down the bottom...
(^^) This is Dolly Beach, the best beach on the island. It's about 20 mins by four wheel drive and then a 45 minute walk through dense jungle. There's a cool camp site here which is good to stay at with a few mates, a few drinks and a few bongs although carrying a couple of cartons of beer 45 minutes through the jungle at 85% humidity kinda sucks.

(^^) This is the view from my balconey. The horizon extends all the way to the left and you can often see Aussie warships doing the northern patrol, however there is also another unit just below mine which really spoils the photo.
.
(^^) This is a freshwater waterfall which is pretty nice. The photo doesn't really do it justice.
(^^) This is a few trees on the walk to the waterfall. There are heaps of little blue crabs that live among the roots. They taste good but you don't get much meat off the little suckers.
Anyway, that's about all I can be bothered with right now. Watch this space for some more of the same over the next few entries.
Until then be good and if you can't be good be well

i figure thursday is a good day because i'm havin a bbq that and she's going to come over early to help cook. so i guess it's either going to be a bbq of celebration or commiseration. but then again nothing makes me happier than a good bbq.
and besides she won't be back from her trip till late today.
Endtroducing is turntablism at its best. a must have for any self repecting hip hop head though you don't have to be into hip hop like record. i'm not exaggerating when i say this album change music for ever, especially the way people saw sampling. you won't be disappointed.
Not into the bruises, but it was a small price to pay for a good time.
