Well, here we are again at the weekend. Seems to be when I write my blog. I didn't get up today until 1:20 p.m. I've been so worn out by work and a virus trying to hang on to me or get a toe-hold. So I've been slowed down, over-tired, and trying to get as much rest as I can. Thank God for the 3-day weekend. I need this one.
I've been busy listening to all the CD's I've gotten from our inter-library loan system. It's great. No cost. And you can keep them for a few weeks. Then anything I like I upload on to my ipod and have it for my own. Pretty cool. Been listening a lot to some blues singers, some of the old classics like Neil Young, and others that I find on Amazon in the "if you like this, try these" type section. Everything just keeps expanding then.
I'm also getting into SG by paying better attention to my friends and their blogs and their heart-warming stories of love and loss and hope...whatever. It is really heartwarming and I'm beginning to feel part of a community of caring people. I'm here for that exactly. The pictures are nice but as for gawking at "naked girls", I don't know, it gets tired pretty quickly. Anyone else think that's true? Not that a pretty face, a nice smile and a good figure doesn't light up the room. It does. It's just the gawking that I think men in our society are led into by media, the patriarchal world of power and control of women and the objectification of women that gets bothersome. (Is that too heavy? I can get that way.)
So, hello to everyone out there. Enjoy the lovely spring. L'chaim. ("to life")

punkie--I'm really glad I could be helpful on your blog. Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, a lot of guys are just after the skin, as you put it. I don't know what's with it. I have that in me too but I think I've been able to move away from it in my 63 years because it's just one more addiction like alcoholism or gambling. It gets you knowwhere. And sort of blocks the chance for honest communication between the sexes. So many women have told me in my office that they are just looking for someone to really communicate with. And how tired they are of being objectified--although they don't usually put it that way. Of course, I'd be delighted to have you as a friend.
Luv to all,
