Laptop is at the repair shop. I hate having to ask someone else to fix computer problems when I know I could figure it out. But as soon as my data started being hidden... I just couldn't risk making a mistake and losing things permanently.

This HAS given me incentive to set up my lap top. Oh how I missed my huuuuge flat screen monitor....

I recently picked up a virus that decided to HIDE all of my files, under the guise of "click here to download/pay for this program to FIX your computer".

I reinstalled Windows, and no longer run Yahoo Messenger on my machine... 'cause I swear that's the only "new" thing I had added.
