Favorite song: Wake Up - Arcade Fire: Decades ago I saw them in concert. After the finale, they hadn’t played that one yet and during their exit were met with a thunderous ovation of bravos and encores complete with feet stomping in unison to the opening guitar lick of Wake Up. Slowly the band trickled back on stage all like “us, you mean us, you want more?”, Wynn picked up his axe and began blasting that mighty C chord as a solo and each member gradually chiming in after a few bars… the place erupted as the song played out. That memory is tattooed on my brain. // Favorite artwork: I’m sort of a goober for all art - the grand masters, mixed media installations, graffiti is all its glory, I even see art in nature and in man made architecture, but my favorite piece is a spoof movie poster designed and crafted by the inimitable Becca Whitaker of Becca’s Bombshells fame. // Favorite movies are the Jason Bournes and on the female flip side I choose Salt, but in another nod to Becca’s acumen I’ll also never pass up a chance to view the Kill Bills. // Video-shmideo! I’m old school pinball wizard to the core, but I got laid up with a serious injury back in the early 1990’s and the only thing to keep me from total boredom was a 8bit Nintendo Mario Golf… within a few days I was acing holes in one on a par 5 shooting a driver straight into the brisk 25mph breeze with hard left pull and a full max topspin. // Favorite book: First time I read The Hobbit and The Rings way back in the 1960’s it branded my psyche - still does today as that little child ponders my own imaginings in Hobbit world — some books just should never be made into movies, kinda wrecks that childlike wonderment, ya know? // a joke: Man rushes into the delicatessen screaming “Gimme some frogs legs and hop to it! Gimme some turtle soup and make it snappy!” and what with all the excitement the poor clerk accidentally backed into the meat slicer and got a little behind in the sandwich orders… badaboom! // and I’m with @wolfetone11 nothing like hot soup and a grilled cheese on a cold winter day.
