Delaware’s choice for upcoming July 12th National Fry Day remains the one and only 95 year old original recipe Thrasher’s Boardwalk Fries
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of traditional British chips - no I don’t mean the generic American bags of thinly sliced crackly stuff - but the many layers of textures and flavors while sinking your teeth into a golden pillowy paradise, then you’ll know why I crave them whenever I’m near the mid Atlantic salty air and sunshine. Simple, unfettered… fresh sliced Idaho spuds (no frozen pre-bagged fast food fodder) bathed in boiling peanut oil. That’s it… 95 years strong of that’s it 💪 And NO ketchup 🤭 but plenty of salt and pepper with open bottles of cider or white vinegar as the final coup de grâce for any reason to resist this mouthwatering summer vacay treat.
Maybe if you ask nicely you’ll might find a canister of Maryland’s own Old Bay seasoning on the garnish tray, a perfect flavor zing for that 2nd bucketful 😉
