🚧 EPA forced to close part of beloved seasonal nature trail at Delaware’s Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge after a pop up village of RV’ers became tragically over enthralled with the discovery of a new protected red fox family living in the marsh. Besides the trash and just general environmental disturbance, onlookers began luring the the fox kits (babies) into human contact with dog food and toys - HIGHLY DISCOURAGED since the mother could reject or even kill her kits if human scent is detected! …and sadly, just as predictably, a car leaving the enclave ran over one of the kits as mom was returning home with a meal 🤔😢 this prompting the immediate evacuation of stupid humans, and closure of a cherished respite for those who quietly respect nature.
