Lots of brisk activity here in Tubman-Garrett Park. Already a block long set up of portapotties (no photo because umm, yeah) so it appears a pop up concert is happening. But they did just chase off Willy and Tina by rolling in that huge honking dumpster, grrr!
A snowy egret perching on the timber bulwarks surrounding Market Street’s drawbridge tender station after catching a nice sized bass that are returning to brackish waters to begin spawning. Its normally proud white spiked topknot is still slicked down from diving for the fish. Truly magnificent birds and their common roosting range is steadily shrinking every year along the Atlantic US from New York down and around Florida and further into the Gulf of Mexico. // photo taken through the safety rails along Riverfront Walk
Yes…! Apparently there will be a test 😆 random manhole cover I saw while walking downtown.
I love this artsy fartsy photography stuff. It’s the front entrance to one of the capital investment firms that dot the Wilmington skyline. My earliest mentor was Man Ray and for that part any of the provocative Dada circle that graced us with so many priceless masterpieces. I just wish I had a real camera 😞 this iPhone cam/software is sort of ok, but it never registers the real colors and textures within the lens — unless I tweak edit them on a costly pro editor or spending hours using iOS embedded photo edit software sliding the irritating bar back and forth, back and forth… 😵💫 reminds me of the optometrist… is this better or worse? *click* better or worse? *click* … 😱
Well that’s my day in “Delalalaland”… wish you “Ware” here. 😎 see what I did there?
Who knows maybe I’ll see one of y’all when I go looking for cameras at the pawn shops and summer flea markets here, cheers!
…log, almost forgot, here’s Willy and Tina before the dumpster rolled in and scared them off. They waddle right up to me now even if I have no food at that moment.
