Haven’t done this in awhile. Being homeless means I have to trek for miles on foot to get secure Wi-Fi to keep up with new music posts. As everyone probably knows by now Fridays are the traditional birthday for new music hitting the streams and record store shelves. Sometimes on Tuesdays but mostly Fridays.
This week a bright star on the horizon named Miya Folic dropped her latest recording effort. It’s a gutsy look inwards. Multilayered trippy and a glaringly honest diary of backwards and forwards from her moment of right now. She’s on the fence, the edge of the cliff, begging for understanding and willing to throw a fuck you in your face if you get in her way. Loaded with Beatle-esque harmonies and instrumentals I found it welcoming and worthy of several replays to let her angst and celebrations all sink in.
Sooo… enjoy 🎶 here’s the Spotify link for the most evocative single “Bad Thing” which has already garnered nearly 2 million plays there. Also widely available on most music streams.
