While house sitting a cool dog last month I found a tiny sprig of the owner’s Jade Tree had maybe been knocked onto the floor by his tail while we were playing together. Only about a 1/8” size, took it back home wrapped in a damp paper towel *331 miles driving in summer heat with no a/c* and hoped for the best. Kept moist with a few drops of room temperature distilled water for 4 weeks, and planted her in a ceramic saké cup I found while hiking along old mining trails this week. Very appropriate karma vibes I think 😊
Anyway she’s now in decent succulent soil, about 1/4” tall and has a new baby barely visible in these photos lower right. Added her to my sunny window succulents mélange and it seems they all welcomed her just fine.
It’s a reminder: DON’T GIVE UP even when it seems you’re ripped apart by situations in your life. Nourish yourself, allow yourself to heal and flourish above it all. 🌱
