Well I know you will find this hard to believe, But I have gained a couple extra pound since high school (mostly around the gut area). So with my new found job and money that came along with it I decided to join and gym and attempt to get back into shape. (Yeah I forgot I don't like to exert myself if I don't have to)
So I go in and talk to the manager of a gym and get myself signed up with a membership, I get a trainer for one day a month, a towel every time I come in, and a couple of other options that I can change when I want to. The manager suggested a trainer for me, well the next day that the decent trainer (manager eyes) was not until Friday, so I asked if there was anything that the manager could recommend to me to try until I could see the trainer. She said to try this, a body sculpt class whish was one hour long and dealt with low weights but high reps and that I should also try a bicycling class called spin yet another class that is one hour long and in all cardio. She stated that she has seen the best results with both of these classes. (JUST ONE MORE BIT OF PROOF TO ME THAT MOST WOMEN ARE EVIL! She must have had one hell of a good laugh after I left the office.)
So I get all pumped up and excided, as only I can be pumped up and excided about thinking about going to a torture chamber So I got to the class and see some older (and if you can believe this) people who looked more out of shape than I am who were going to the same class as me. (My thoughts and attitude improved even more upon seeing this. All the time thinking if these old out of shape guys can do this so can I) I start talking to them and they tell me that just stick with them and they will lead me thru the class. (Remember: all pumped up and excided)
The first five minutes was the warm up, Im thinking, this is not so bad. Then the workout started, the next 15 to 20 minutes was all legs squats, and not just regular squats, a full squat and then three half squats from the button to middle then down again, the middle to top and then one full one again, then the barbell over head and do a bent over row, now this was the rotation that went on. I lasted 20 minutes. My legs felt like cooked noodles. Now they feel like I am ripping meat apart every time I try to walk across the room.
I have not been able to walk decently for the last 4 days. I am having to stretch every morning just to be able to walk to the shower, stretch in the shower, stretch before I start me day at work, after lunch, and when ever I get the chance. To go down steps, I use the handrail, to go up steps I use handrails, my attendants that I have told about this adventure are mocking me when I shuffle toward them. My legs were/are so sore that they gave out on me at least three times so far this week.
The best part about this story besides that part about me paying someone to do this to me is I am going back again this coming week. But this time with proper stretching and I am not even going to attempt to keep up my neighbors, then directly after class hot tubing.
Wish me luck.

it does cripple you... I pay for a trainer to make me feel this way... I only go 2 times a week once for upper , once for lower. If I miss a few days... I get the crippling effect. If I go and dont miss my legs/arms feel fine. So dont give up the more you go yhe less this happends.
