Well, Madeleine's insurance has been worked out and things are going well that way. The doctors are very optomistic that Madeleine's communication will improve and that she'll be ready for school when it's time. I had a colposcopy a little over two weeks ago. I should have heard about the results by now, if anything worrisome came up in the lab work. So, seems like everything's A-okay with my woman parts. My ex has been sent to some sort of training for the Coast Guard for five months, which means very limited phone calls. WOOT! Also, he won't get any leave until Thanksgiving...so I don't have to worry about quarreling with him about taking the girls in September.
Excuse how long I've been away. One day, I smelled something like plastic burning around the computer and decided to shut it down (the correct way I promise). Ever since then, the computer's been dead. Even John, who seems to be capable of miracles with computers, has pretty much given up hope on it. We're waiting until we can afford a new one...which will probably be sometime in September. So, I won't be around here all that much. Sorry.
Right now, we're all sick. It started with Penny and now we're all scratchy throated and miserable. I really wish my medicince would start working already. The girls have gotten over it, but John and I are experiencing the worst of it right now.
My birthday was Monday, so Saturday we held a poker party and invited two other couples about our age. My cousin and her husband and Larissa (a woman I know from a women's group I go to) and her fiance. The group chemistry was great. We spent so much time gabbing, we hardly got any poker played. In fact, our get together went so well we decided we should do it regularly rotating homes. Sunday, I'm going to help Larissa look for wedding gowns. That'll be a lot of fun.
