Quick Disclaimer: I am severely pop culture impaired and this is about the first concert I've ever gone to...which was last night. Pathetic, I know, but there it is. Also, I realize how mainstream the group whose virtues I'm about to extoll is, but talent is talent...no matter where you find it. Plus, they don't like Pres. Bush either, which makes them A-okay in my book.
I went to Gainesville to see the Black Eyed Peas. Wow! That's all I can say. I've always really liked their music, some of it I loved. I didn't know what to expect last night, seeing as I've never gone to a concert before. I'd heard some bands are great on album and horrible live. I was scared that this was what would happen. I was wrong. The Black Eyed Peas surpassed my wildest expectations! I had no idea how DIVERSE they were and how extremely talented. Fergi did cartwheels while keeping a strong single note wailing from her gorgeous little self. Most of the group played a variety of instruments. They really knew how to make the crowd get into the show and feel appreciated. They also were very gracious to their musicians and debut groups, which were Flipsyde and the Pussycat Dolls (which I like to call the Pussycat Dogs...I'm so tired of "Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend"). Anyway, it was a really awesome experience. If the Black Eyed Peas are heading your way, I highly recommend you go see them!

Thanks! It was really a good show. Even John (who hates crowds) had fun.
