So one day I was sitting at the bar (as I do) and a brief melody popped into my head. I started humming, but I didn't really pay it any attention. Next thing I know some words started popping in my head. So, here they are:

Checked my messages, none of them from you.

I looked outside, the sky started getting gray
I wanted to call, but I didnt have the words to say.

Without you in my life, I know that I would die
When I saw you leave that night, I started to cry
I never would have thought that was the last kiss goodbye

I fixed myself a drink, lit up a cigarette
Looked at my bills, I was getting deeper in debt
With you in my life, I was rich as a king
But without you in my life, It doesnt mean a thing

I took for granted that youd always be my girl
Always and forever, youd be apart of my world
I never told you how I felt, didnt say the things should
So when you walked out the door, I know it was for good
