Hello everyone, happy Sunday :) I am sorry for posting about such a negative thing but it is something that REALLY bothers me. I feel that SG is such a positive community.....I literally have NEVER seen a rude comment on this site and I love that. If a girl isn't attractive to someone, I feel that people here do the right thing and simply move on to the next girl.
However I do NOT see the same thing on the SG Facebook page. I am tempted to unfollow it because all I ever see on there are RUDE unnecessary comments from people who are not even members of the site! It is SO frustrating to me that people feel the need to tear others down publicly.....as if a model is asking for criticism simply because she has the "nerve" to post pics of herself. I truly believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way, and that nobody is immune from having flaws. It is human to be imperfect...so I do not understand why these Facebook commenters expect the models to live up to their extremely unrealistic and subjective expectations, and post heinous comments once they find something to criticize.
It's just really disheartening because I see girls who are way prettier than me being torn apart, and I think to myself "why should I even try to be a SG?" It's not even that I CARE about the opinions of the haters....I am just upset that they feel the need to make such rude comments in the first place. Why anyone would purposefully hurt someone else is beyond me.
If anyone has advice on how to ignore assholes.....please share. I don't want to give up before I even start :/
