requiem

So I hope all you bastards have fun at the SG1Y.

I'm averaging 14 hours a day at work. We're just getting into the heat of harvest. The past couple of days we've brought in about 100 tons of reds (mostly Merlot) and 50 to 100 tons of whites (Chardonnay). Our max capacity for one day is 300 tons of reds and 100 tons of whites. By next week we will probably be running close to maximum because the Cabernet will be coming in. By the time all is said and done, we will have crushed just over 4,000 tons of fruit.

This is a great time to visit the winery! It's a flurry of activity! Every day is exciting and unpredictable. This is a terrible time to visit Requiem. I smell bad, I dress like a slob, I get all dirty, I shave only every other day (if I'm lucky), and I stopped going to the gym.

Now I have to go make dinner (which will also be lunch tomorrow), eat, and go to bed so I can be back at the winery by 5:00 tomorrow morning!
