So I went to church again today. That's one of those habits I need to get back into. People were happy to see me, but I didn't stay too long afterward. Baby steps after all. I've talked about a couple of different girls, but though I did like them, there's still The One, the girl I took to prom that I've carried a candle for all these years. At least the past 6 or so. She is as beautiful as they come, and her smile is sweet enough to melt any resolve I have. I'm much more confident than last they knew me, I'm stronger, I've grown up mostly. But I went to say hi to her, and I got a nod, a smile, a "Hey" and that was it. Some things change...and some things never change. Still, it was good to see her. And there's always next Sunday for a rematch.
