i won the monthly storytelling competition this weekend. the theme this month was, "oops, i did it again: blunders". we had a really great audience, about 30-40 people and 7 or 8 tellers. i told about the mishap i experienced one of the first times i was able to muster the courage to ask a girl out, and showcased a few of the more humorous and completely unintentional sexual innuendos that have stumbled out of my mouth.
if anyone is ever in the okc area and would be interested in attending, ask and i'll get you the details. i like that i've begun to become more involved with the city's arts and culture. i'd encourage anyone to find a way to get involved wherever they might live as well.

but then i discovered tulsa and parts of OKC are like a mini austin and it's exciting. a lot of the local bands i interview say they see the city turning into a place like austin in the next decade and i want to stick around for that.
for now, i shall remain SUPER excited i get the spend a night in the skirvin in a month and a half! been there since it reopened?
