I didn't realize how much I needed time off until I took it. Time off to do nothing, absolutely nothing, productive. Just read, play with my pets, spend an afternoon watching the History of the Tsars or episodes of Deadwood. The best part came today - for the first time in about a year, I was able to sleep in; usually my brain wakes me up at the same time every morning, regardless of whether I have anything to do or not.
