Just got back from Chicago yesterday now back to work tonight. We had a great time, there was an art exhibit opening at the Art Institute while we were there and got tickets. It was amazing, it was Homer and Hopper. I love Hoppers work all of his paintings somehow resonate with me. They all give a sense of lonliness even when other people are present, everyone seems disconnected to one another, no one looks at each other and seems lost in their own thoughts. Seeing Nighthawks in person was amazing. We also saw Flogging molly while we were there at the House of Blues. It was an amazing show, the place was packed!! One of the opening bands was a drummer, guitarist/singer, and a chick on the washboard playing rhythm for the band. Kirk drank over a gallon of Guinness while at the show and then we hit the Irish pub in the Hilton and drank some more before bed. Kirk had to have me take his shoes off for him and when I tried to take his pants off for him he fell on the floor and passed out for a while. I snapped a pic of him on my phone while he was passed out I'll try and get it up on here. Anyway glad to be back home.

Sounds like a great trip to Chicago. Hopper is one of my favorites. For some reason the celeb version of Nighthawks really bothers me.
