so i am going through paperwork and bullshit to try to get my office together and i ran into my recruitment letters for softball at my first college (yes, at one time i was fit and athletic), which at first glance was no bigge.
until i saw who signed the letter
she was never my actual coach but i knew her well and ended up spending more time than i should have with her and the team, hence one reason i attended osu. she became a huge influence, a mentor and one of the people who ultimately helped me decide to return to school and get my degree.
i knew she was sick when i left, we had a long talk about it.
this past week i got a call saying that she had passed away on monday. you lose touch with people during your life but you never realize how much they have influenced you until they are gone
RIP nancy
