What's meaningful in life
I had this email exchange with someone from work today:
I remember you mentioned earlier the thing from Frank about how men and women view life (the pie chart).
It reminded me of something Id debated with a girl some time ago Men use relationships to get sex and women use sex to get relationships. That, and women use sex as bait. But, just like the worm on the hook, once youve eaten the worm, theres no more. Only the hook, and your pretty darn well stuck by then.
The funny part about all of that is, its not universal. There are innumerable couples who have healthy, satisfying lives of all manner. They dont stray, they dont wonder or imagine. They are happy and content with their lives, and could want for nothing more. Weird, huh
Dunno why that came to mind..
I typed this a few hours ago, and then left it. I just came back to this, and Im listening to my Yahoo radio. A song just came on with interesting lyrics I dont need no one to tell me about heaven, I look at my son and I believe
Indeed. I sometimes think everything is else is over-rated noise anyway. He loves to draw at the age of 2, and can make long distance basketball shots (15 or 20 feet serious!). And I am a lucky man. .
Dont let yourself get caught up in You find solace where you can, and treasure that which is beautiful.
The rest is noise. Dont you think?
