Went to the local watering hole last night, stag (i'm a regular, but usually with friends). Started out with out normal wairess brining me drinks, and bsing with her (went to the same high school), and playing catch up. After her shift ended she sat down and we drank together, made plans to do something this friday night, she asked for that night off, just for me. Sweet.
Finally went and purchased some music tickets... gonna go see Black Label Society and later Mudvayne (with local hero's American Head Charge) in March. Then in April I'm gonna see Queens of the Stoneage. It's all within 2 weeks. It's gonna be rough, but I'll manage.
Again on the work issue, I've been away from the shop I'm in for like 2 years, and today, while the boss was away, I was filled in all the shit that's gone on since. Seems that the place is basically hell in disguise. So bad now, that the mechanics are considering bringing in the Union (*gasp*). I don't know how to handle this, I have no problem with the money, selfrespect, and better working enviroment, but I was brought back to fix the joint up, and If I vote yes, as much as I want to, It'll alienate me from the higher-ups that put me in the position there in the first place. blah...
Highs and lows, that's what life's about.

Dude, vote no. I'm telling you from personal experience, FUCK the union. I remember the VERY first day we became union at my job, and it's been messed ever since. It's kinda like being married. It's just a title, right? This doesn't change anything, right? But as soon as it happens, you know. It just feels different. Everyone ACTS different. Took a year or too, but it tore my department to pieces. We all used to hang out and shit. Now everyone stabs each other in the back for minimal gain just because we can. Saddest part is, we watched all the other departments where i work, the ones that were already union, and we swore we'd never turn out like them. Stay away from that shit. What good is a guarenteed quarter a year raise when your also guarenteed to hate your job a quarter more every year. And that's not even touching how it will effect the company itself. Stay away from unions, man. They're extortionists. They help put money in your pocket so that you wont say shit when they pinch off the top. Just some advice.
