Hey, kids! It's been an incredibly rough few weeks over here in my little slice of life.
Sanford was hit by two snow storms within two weeks of each other (more or less) and plenty of other curve balls and unblockable left hooks have been thrown at us as well. My little sister moved out, inexplicably. Mom got in a wreck, so we are down to three cars: mine, dad's (which was given to my little sister when she moved out), and the one that doesn't work. So two cars, I guess... Mom and I work at the same place, which has been laying off people to save money and NOBODY IS SAFE, no matter how hard a worker you are, NOBODY IS SAFE. Friends have been dodgy and uncooperative. Extended family is suffering from one thing or another.
And this is just turning into bitch, bitch, bitch central, isn't it? Sorry. I'll stop.
Good news, though. We were able to rent a truck to compensate the lack of an extra car. Its a big one. And red. Red makes it go fast, yes it does. :3 It will also help get the rest of little sister's stuff out of the house. We've been renovating, obviously, and an insurance lady came by the other day and clued us into what we needed to focus on around the property and in the house. So dad went and go a HUGE project budget from Home Depot and we're going to get to play with a bunch of new toys, make the house ready to be sold, then GET THE FUCK OUT OF SANFORD! WOO! Along those same lines, I've finally put my resume and a generic cover letter together and started looking into Digital Media related jobs in Raleigh and surrounding areas. Applied for three today, gotta find more! I'm prepared for all of them to reject me, but a call for an interview would be the tits.
If any of you are in the Raleigh or surrounding areas and know of a Digital Media related job opening, let me know, eh? I'd be a splendid addition to the team!
That's all I got for now, folks. Tune in next time for when I slice a tree in twain with a herring! Until then, stay gold, sexy people!
