So I was 20 minutes late to work this morning.
Here is why:
I went down stairs to go out and scrape my car. Before I got outside, I noticed a kitty hudled under the heater in our lobby area. She was all cuddled into a ball and when she saw me, she lifted her head. I said something to her and she peeked out,...

Note to self: when stupid fucks who can't drive piss you off by pulling out in front of you (read: practically INTO you), do not throw cell phone across the car cursing them out. Tends to frighten the person whom you are leaving a voice mail.
Today, I hate everyone on the streets of this town, cars and pedestrians alike. People do the damned dumbest...

Yes. People are stoopid.
Shop online wink
commonman:
George Carlin once said that any person driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than you is a maniac. So, so true. Pedestrians, of course, are just targets.

Miss Lucycat has decided that the Christmas tree is her enemy. Every time we leave, she tears into it--its all misshaped and there are usually a few ornaments laying on the floor, even though we've tried keeping them out of her reach. Poor tree. frown

I really need to start thinking about Christmas gifts. Time is flying by. I have a feeling Christmas is gonna be...

I think I'll boycott Christmas next year! My first partner and I had a couple of dogs and they tore the shit out of the tree. They ate all of the candy canes and pulled off all of the ornaments. So I tied the damn thing to the ceiling so they couldn't reach it! When company came over they were like, "Why is your tree tied to the ceiling?"
lizarose:
thanks for the comment on my set!

We got a Christmas tree on Sunday. This year, we went with a fake tree, due to the issues with last year's ginormous pine tree--whoever rented our old place is probably still picking needles out of the carpet.
Anyway, I'll take some pics once we buy a few more ornaments for the new tree--purple and silver.
I have to return the topper I bought--it just...

So the high winds combined with snow yesterday kept us from going to Dustin's dad's for Thanksgiving. frown
We went to my grandma's instead, since she lives the other way and the weather was drivable. My family is so redneck and crazy. And they are not the best cooks either. We ate some dessert and a little of the food and sat around for a bit...

I'm sitting here, eating oatmeal and baking a pumpkin cheesecake for tomorrow. Dustin's dad just called and said we are supposed to get hellacious snow and wind storms tonight and tomorrow. I really hope he is wrong. I hate bad weather driving and I already hate the drive from here to 131.
I ended up taking a sservice desk shift yesterday, so all of my...

We're going to get hit with snow, too. I hope it doesn't mess with my 2 hour drive to the relatives house.

Yeah, she's a vegetarian. She wasn't when we got married (she still ate chicken and the occasional hamburger) but she soon went all the way. Well, almost all the way, because she still eats fish occasionally, which would really make her a pescatarian.

We have a deal about meat: We never cook it in the house, and she will not touch it or clean up after it. So, I can get lunchmeat or, say, chinese takeout, but we don't make things like pot roast or chicken. When we're at a restaurant, I can order anything I want except veal, because she can't handle my eating little baby cows.

We do have trouble going out to restaurants, but we have found some that she can find food at that she likes. But it totally cuts out fast food places and many chains. But you get used to it.

Man, I don't miss working at the grocery store at all. Your words have brought me back to working on Thanksgiving and all the angry crazed people looking for butter, and the few straggling dopes buying thier FROZEN turkey at 2 in the afternoon as we shut down. . . ugh. I feel your pain. Good luck with the driving, and have a good holiday!

My weekend off has been fabulous. I slept in really late yesterday, then just hung out with Dustin, browsed around a little bit. I then got all prettied up to work the door for The Vagina Monologues. If I may say so, I looked hot--black assymetrical corset style dress with a black long sleeve shirt over it, black tights under hot pink fishnets, knee high...

too bad the girl had to cry to get the point across but sometimes it has to happen..

sweet, 5 days paid and shopping the day after too! biggrin
commonman:
It's funny, I spend all day on a computer, then I rush home after work to relax. And what do I do? I turn on my computer. And what do you do on your day off? Shop. Why? Don't we get enough of that at work?

Anyway, if you're getting into the no meat thing, I have a cookbook idea for you - Quick Vegetarian Pleasures. My resident vegatarian loves many of the recipies, and they're easy to make. We use it all the time. It is amazing how many foods you discover when you're not eating meat, isn't it?

Somehow, I got T-Day and the day after, aka biggest shopping day ever, off. And I'm getting paid for them both. I'm pretty stoked right now. Two Thanksgivings and some after shopping with my mom, whom I really haven't spent any one on one time with in oh, a really long time.

I'm going to see the Vagina Monologues this weekend. Actually, I am handing...

Why did I agree to work today? I had today off and I let them talk me into working, only to get held over. Its more money, which is good but I am freaking tired now. All i did was run around all day because it was our Grand Re-Opening.

Me, with my new eyewear, after the aforementioned day of work. Do I look tired?
