Although I'm very well aware that nobody really cares, let alone reads, my blog, I feel as though it's healthy for me. I'd like to have more online friends and acquaintances, but in the past I've been terrible in replying, and just really inconsistent when it comes to logging on. However, saying all that, I hope to be using this blog a whole lot more often from now on...
My husband, Derek, and I were babysitting my younger brother and sister for 10 days, and whilst we love them to bits, it was a bit of a headache. We live in a fairly tiny flat, which made privacy and any sort of a sex life difficult... which sucked! BUT that's all over now, we made it out ok, and we're loving life again with just us and our two kitties.
The weather in Sydney has been awesome and we've been getting to the beach a lot, and playing a lot of tennis. I'm beating Derek's ass too, lol. Which is lucky, 'coz I'm a terribly, annoyingly competitive person! If it was him better than me, we would've stopped playing months ago haha.
Since the beginning of the year I have lost 17lbs. I wanted to have lost double that by now, but I've been too easygoing with what I eat. A friend of mine is on the Dukan Diet at the moment, and when we caught up last week he lent me the book to read. He's been very successful with the diet, and begged me to give it a read, and so I did. And you know what? It fucken makes sense. I've wanted for a long time to start eating healthy and fresh and clean, and my husband has been raving on about high protein foods for months, and I've been ignorant and lazy. But this book has kick started some determination inside of me. I have had weight issues my whole adult life, and I've previously lost lots of weight, but I've regained it all plus some. I'm sick of fat frumpy clothes, I miss the slim life and I've run out of excuses. So... Wednesday is when I start. I will post progress, photos (eventually) and feedback. If there happens to be anyone who does read this and has an opinion about the Dukan Diet, or advice, or anything really, then I'd love to hear from you. Support is very welcome! Friends and family are here for me, but there's something pretty rewarding about people you don't really know caring enough to encourage you!
I hope all you SG peeps are swell

I would definitely recommend black labs... They're very smart, lovable, playful and friendly with other dogs.
